Welcome Friends and Seekers!The name "Quakers" was given to members of the Society of Friends over 300 years ago. George Fox, the son of an English weaver, was distressed at the ungodliness of his times and disillusioned with his experience in local churches. As Fox sought an answer to his spiritual emptiness, he experienced a voice saying, "There is one, even Christ Jesus, that can speak to thy condition." In response, Fox recorded later, "My heart did leap for joy." He began to proclaim that Christ had come to teach His people directly. God's power, Fox said, was available to all without need of ritual or clergy. Receiving and obeying God’s Voice within them empowered early Friends to become obedient children of God, and Jesus has directly led faithful Friends ever since. Christ Jesus, the same yet ever new, speaks to our condition today, and our hearts still leap for joy as His Spirit touches us. We -- and you -- can, in this day, be obedient children of God under Christ's leadership. Is it time to worship the Lord directly, to feel his power in worship and in all of life? Is it time for personal renewal in Jesus, time to serve Him? We feel it is, and we strive to seek and find answers under His leadership. We are here to discuss progress or problems in your spiritual journey whenever you wish. Jesus still reassures us, "Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light." Matt. 11:28-30.
